Kilkeel High School has been providing first class education to the Kilkeel community for the past 50 years. From the time the school opened it has seen many types of student’s progress to very successful jobs. For example former pupils have went on to become, lawyers, barristers, doctors, computer programmers and even one of our past pupils has become a MP. Success is what Kilkeel High School is all about.

The school has seen many changes over the years with the introduction of computers and the Internet. The school has become fully computerised recently. This was part of the government based scheme called classroom 2000 (C2k). Kilkeel High was one of the first schools in Northern Ireland to have this fully computerised transformation take place.

Our school has a great appreciation to music; this becomes evident when anyone has seen the performance of our annual school musical. Each year for the past 31 years auditions take place to cast the stars of the musical. Previous musicals which have been produced by the school are Me and My Girl, My Fair Lady, South Pacific….. the list is endless. Not only are the stars of the performance important but the orchestra is equally important. The school has students from each section of an orchestra that put in many hours of practice in order to give a performance to remember on the night!
