Staff

It is important that the pupil-teacher ratio does not become too large. During 2004-2005 there will be two full time teachers in the LSC and a classroom assistant who helps with

• The organisation of the classroom, incl. Wall displays
• Preparation and photocopying of resources
• The support of LSC pupils in integration classes.

The classroom assistant follows a timetable and, as far as possible, knows at the beginning of the day what she is expected to do.

Written guidelines for support in integration classes are given to both the classroom assistant and the class teachers.

Other classroom assistants are responsible for particular pupils

There is a formal monthly meeting of Learning Support Centre teachers and regular informal meetings of all staff involved in the day- to- day running of the Learning Support Centre to plan, evaluate and monitor progress.
