This department is a little bit different to the other departments within Kilkeel High School.  This is mainly because of the fact that it is a visual subject and pupils show their skills on paper in the form of landscape or portrait paintings or sketches, computerised images created in Adobe Photoshop or 3d sculptures.  

Students who study Art and Design have the opportunity to study this subject at G.C.S.E level and if they feel that they want to pursue their passion for this subject, they can advance to A' level standard.

Within this department's section you can view different work which has been completed by various students at GCSE and A' level standard.  As you will find, the quality of art which is produced by the students in this school from junior level to A' level standard is very high.
